Friday July 15, 2005

BRIDES of Distinction warehouse in Albion Park Rail wants to assure everyone that they are open and ready to help you with all your bridal fashion needs.

"We've had a few customers ringing up to make sure we are still open, we are definitely open and have a wide range of gowns and accessories to suit every bride and her bridal party," proprietor Elaine Jackson said.

Brides of Distinction carry imported and Australian gowns and they also manufacture made to measure gowns on the premises.

A wedding gown is one of the most important purchases a bride makes for her wedding day and it is one item that many girls have dreamed about.

Whether it's a simple dress, something unique or a dress that looks like it has come straight out of a fairytale you are sure to find it at Brides of Distinction.

"We have over 200 gowns in the store, but if someone still can't find exactly what they are after we can custom design and manufacture a dress for them," Ms Jackson said.

With over 20 years experience in the bridal industry, Ms Jackson can help you create the dress of your dreams. She has designed and made bridal gowns from her own home studio for many years and worked for various wholesalers and other bridal boutiques.

"We have an experienced sewer on site at all times who can do any necessary alterations to ensure you get that perfect fit," Ms Jackson said.

Brides of Distinction say strapless gowns with A-line skirts that are enhanced by crystals and beading are very popular at the moment. Full dresses are now also more sought after instead of the two-piece gowns.

The bridal warehouse caters for brides of all sizes and carries dresses and lingerie from a size 6 to 32.

Brides of Distinction is virtually a one stop bridal shop, they stock dresses for bridesmaids, flowergirls and the mother-of-the-bride. Guests who are attending the wedding can also take their pick from a full range of formal wear outfits.

"We carry a variety of accessories to complement your gown from tiaras and veils to jewellery, garters and handbags," Ms Jackson said.

"Customers appreciate that they can come to the one place in the local area and get what they need rather than having to travel to Sydney."

Brides of Distinction have a referral network and can help point a customer in the right direction for anything they need to finalise their day.

"We thrive on providing a high level of customer service and we can help them organise other areas of their wedding including suit hire, invitations, marriage celebrants, hairdressers and wedding carriages," Ms Jackson said.

Brides of Distinction are offering anyone who comes along to The Illawarra Mercury Bridal Expo a 10 per cent discount on anything they purchase from the bridal shop. They are also supplying a gown up to the value of $1500 in the Ultimate Wedding Package.

Brides of Distinction warehouse is located at 2/41 Durgadin Drive, Albion Park Rail and can be contacted on 4257 5618.

It is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm and by appointment outside of these hours.
